Dargle Forest Lodge is a combined dream of the farm owners Bridgette and Sean. Upon stumbling on this land in 2015, we immediately saw the potential it had and decided we just had to share this piece of paradise with other like minded people and families. We have, in a very short two years, turned an overgrown, derelict, small farm into what it is today and we are continuing to develop it as we go from strength to strength. It’s the humble beginnings of what we hope will one day turn into what we imagine it to be.
Bridgette has years of experience in the hospitality industry after traveling the world and currently runs another lodge on the Wild Coast. Sean is a local to the area as he grew up in Nottingham Road and is an auto mechanic by trade, yet can fix just about anything you throw at him. Setting up rustic but comfortable self catering accommodation on the farm was the dream from day one.
We have two children and adore the ‘farm life’ we have created. We invite anyone who enjoys the outdoors and the peace and serenity of nature to come and experience our panoramic views of the Dargle Valley in our simple yet comfortable stilted wooden cabins while enjoying all the Midlands Meander has to offer, which is short, scenic drive away.
